Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, in a statement made on the social media platform X, claimed that some provisions of the 10-point proposal, which forms the basis of the planned negotiations with the US, have been violated.
Ghalibaf stated that three of the ten points in the framework, which he described as a “viable basis for negotiation,” had been violated even before talks began, adding that a ceasefire or negotiations were “illogical” under the current circumstances.
The Iranian side emphasizes that the 10-point plan includes both the scope of the ceasefire and critical issues such as the lifting of sanctions, the cessation of conflicts in the region, and the recognition of Iran’s rights regarding its nuclear program. This plan has previously been described by US President Donald Trump as a “viable basis for negotiations.”

According to Ghalibaf’s statement, the violations include the failure to abide by the ceasefire commitment in all regions, particularly Lebanon, the violation of Iranian airspace, and the denial of the country’s right to enrich uranium. The Iranian government argues that these developments have further weakened trust between the parties.
On the other hand, the impact of the developments was also felt in global markets. While the Bitcoin price fell by approximately 0.65% after the announcement, US stock futures continued their rise, albeit limited, with S&P 500 futures up 2.4%. In the oil market, although losses in WTI crude oil futures narrowed somewhat, prices reportedly fell by over 15%.
